📢 Einladung zum Café Global am 10.5, 19 Uhr, im Stockwerk29/Rupprechtstr. 29. Wie immer gibt es kalte Getränke und warmes Essen. Der Vortrag ist auf deutsch, Flüsterübersetzung auf englisch und spanisch möglich!

Nach dem 8. März und dem Pro-Choice Protest gegen den Marsch für das Leben am 13. April, bleibt womöglich einiges an Wut, Angst, Freude, Quatsch, Fragen und Bewegungsdrang übrig.

Deswegen möchten wir in einem queer-feministischen Raum über die begrenzten Abtreibungsmöglichkeiten in Bayern, bishin zu den konkreten Möglichkeiten den internationalen Kampf um sichere Schwangerschaftsabbrüche zu führen, sprechen. Die Aktivistin Julia Mandoki wird einen Vortrag halten mit Auszügen aus dem Film „Vessel“ (2014), der über die Möglichkeit bei sich selbst einen Schwangerschaftsabbruch durch Pillen einzuleiten, handelt. Anschließend wollen wir einen Raum für wertschätzende Diskussionen schaffen und gemeinsam essen. Wir glauben, dass der Kampf um sichere Schwangerschaftsabbrüche verschiedene feministische Perspektiven zusammen bringen kann.

International fight for safe abortions and options in Bavaria

📢 Invitation to Café Global on 10.5, 7 pm, at Stockwerk29/Rupprechtstr. 29. As always, there will be cold drinks and hot food. The talk is in German, whispered translation into English and Spanish possible!

After March 8 and the pro-choice protest against the March for Life on April 13, there may be some anger, fear, joy, nonsense, questions and the urge to move left over.

That’s why we want to talk in a queer-feminist space about the limited abortion options in Bavaria and the concrete possibilities of leading the international fight for safe abortions. The activist Julia Mandoki will give a lecture with excerpts from the film „Vessel“ (2014), which deals with the possibility of self-induced abortion through pills. Afterwards we want to create a space for appreciative discussions and eat together. We believe that the fight for safe abortions can bring together different feminist perspectives.

Lucha internacional por abortos seguros y opciones en Baviera

📢 Invitación al Café Global el 10 de mayo, 19 h, en Stockwerk29/Rupprechtstr. 29. Como siempre, habrá bebidas frías y comida caliente. La charla es en alemán, ¡posible traducción susurrada al inglés y al español!

Después del 8 de marzo y de la protesta proabortista contra la Marcha por la Vida del 13 de abril, puede que quede mucha rabia, miedo, alegría, tonterías, preguntas y ganas de moverse.

Por eso queremos hablar en un espacio queer-feminista sobre las limitadas opciones de aborto en Baviera y las posibilidades concretas de liderar la lucha internacional por abortos seguros. La activista Julia Mandoki dará una conferencia con fragmentos de la película „Vessel“ (2014), que trata sobre la posibilidad de autoinducirse un aborto mediante pastillas. Después, queremos crear un espacio de debate respetuoso y comer juntos. Creemos que la lucha por el aborto seguro puede unir diferentes perspectivas feministas.

Das Cafe Global im April widmet sich einem Thema, welches oftmals in Vergessenheit gerät, weil sich der Großteil der linken politischen Arbeit auf Städte konzentriert. Nicht nur haben es junge Menschen auf dem Land oft schwer sich zu politisieren oder werden wegen ihrer politischen Überzeugungen gar von rechten Strukturen angegriffen. Generell scheinen die politischen Perspektiven in Dörfern und Kleinstädten sehr gering. Durch die Auseinandersetzung mit Landkämpfen in Lateinamerika und dem Austausch mit den Zapatistas, ist uns jedoch klar geworden, dass dies nicht so bleiben darf. Rechte Siedlungsnetzwerke in Deutschland bauen gezielt Strukturen auf dem Land auf und auch die aktuellen Bäuer*innenproteste sind mit ihren Forderungen eher reaktionär und konservativ. Doch es gibt auch viele junge Menschen und Initiativen, die bewusst Projekte auf dem Land aufbauen, sich mit kollektiver Produktion und der Verteidigung von Land und Ökosystemen auseinandersetzen, wie es die vielen solidarischen Landwirtschaften oder Waldbesetzungen in Deutschland zeigen. Wir haben für die heutige Diskussion einen Film ausgewählt, der das Thema „Militarisierung, Enteignung und politische Stadt-Land-Verbindungen“ aufbringt. „Larzac – Aufstand der Bauern“ ist ein beeindruckendes Beispiel, wie sich Bäuer*innen gegen Enteignung und Militarismus organisieren und große Unterstützung durch städtische Gruppen erfahren. Ein brandaktuelles Thema und Erfahrungen von denen wir unbedingt lernen sollten. Wir möchten mit diesem Thema auch auf den Kongress „500 Jahre Widerstand: Für das Leben – Für das Land“ vom 3.-5. Mai 2024 aufmerksam machen, auf dem genau diese Themen mit vielen interessanten Referent*innen und aktiven Gruppen diskutiert werden sollen. Im Jahr 2025 jährt sich der deutsche Bauernkrieg zum 500. Mal, ein historischer Moment, der schon vor vielen Jahrhunderten gezeigt hat, dass Menschen sich gegen die Einhegungen, Zerstörung der Kollektivgüter und für die selbstbestimmte Nutzung 

von Land wehren können. Wir freuen uns über eine lebhafte Diskussion und praktische Ansätze, wie wir dieses Thema in unseren Alltag und unsere politische Arbeit integrieren können.

Es wird nach Bedarf Flüsterübersetzung zu Englisch und Spanisch geben.

Cafe Global on 19.4. on the topic of „Struggles in the countryside“

The Cafe Global in April is dedicated to a topic that is often forgotten because the majority of left-wing political work focuses on cities. Not only do young people in rural areas often find it difficult to politicize themselves or are even attacked by right-wing structures because of their political convictions. In general, the political prospects in villages and small towns seem very limited. However, through our engagement with land struggles in Latin America and the exchange with the Zapatistas, it has become clear to us that this must not remain the case. Right-wing settlement networks in Germany are deliberately building structures in the countryside and the current peasant protests are also rather reactionary and conservative in their demands. But there are also many young people and initiatives that are consciously building projects on the land, dealing with collective production and the defense of land and ecosystems, as shown by the many solidarity farms or forest occupations in Germany. For today’s discussion, we have selected a film that addresses the topic of „militarization, dispossession and political urban-rural connections“. „Larzac – Revolt of the Peasants“ is an impressive example of how peasants organize themselves against expropriation and militarism and receive great support from urban groups. A hot topic and experiences that we should definitely learn from. With this topic, we would also like to draw attention to the congress „500 Years of Resistance: For Life – For the Land“ from May 3-5, 2024, at which precisely these topics will be discussed with many interesting speakers and active groups. The year 2025 marks the 500th anniversary of the German Peasants‘ War, a historic moment that showed many centuries ago that people can defend themselves against the enclosure and destruction of collective goods and for the self-determined use of land.

Café Global del 19 de abril sobre el tema „Luchas en el campo“.

El Café Global de abril está dedicado a un tema que a menudo se olvida porque la mayor parte del trabajo político de izquierdas se centra en las ciudades. Los jóvenes de las zonas rurales no sólo tienen a menudo dificultades para politizarse, sino que incluso son atacados por las estructuras de derechas a causa de sus convicciones políticas. En general, las perspectivas políticas en los pueblos y ciudades pequeñas parecen muy escasas. Sin embargo, a través de nuestro compromiso con las luchas por la tierra en América Latina y el intercambio con los zapatistas, nos hemos dado cuenta de que esto no debe seguir siendo así. Las redes de asentamientos de derechas en Alemania están construyendo deliberadamente estructuras en el campo y las protestas campesinas actuales también son bastante reaccionarias y conservadoras en sus reivindicaciones. Pero también hay muchos jóvenes e iniciativas que están creando conscientemente proyectos en la tierra, comprometiéndose con la producción colectiva y la defensa de la tierra y los ecosistemas, como demuestran las numerosas granjas solidarias y ocupaciones de bosques en Alemania. Para el debate de hoy, hemos seleccionado una película que aborda el tema de „militarización, desposesión y conexiones políticas urbano-rurales“. „Larzac – La revuelta de los campesinos“ es un ejemplo impresionante de cómo los campesinos se organizan contra la expropiación y el militarismo y reciben un gran apoyo de los grupos urbanos. Un tema candente y experiencias de las que sin duda deberíamos aprender. Con este tema, también nos gustaría llamar la atención sobre el congreso „500 años de resistencia: por la vida – por la tierra“ del 3 al 5 de mayo de 2024, en el que se debatirán precisamente estos temas con muchos ponentes interesantes y grupos activos. El año 2025 marca el 500 aniversario de la Guerra de los Campesinos Alemanes, un momento histórico que demostró hace muchos siglos que la gente puede resistir el cercamiento y la destrucción de los bienes colectivos y luchar por el uso autodeterminado de la tierra. Esperamos un animado debate y planteamientos prácticos sobre cómo podemos integrar este tema en nuestra vida cotidiana y nuestro trabajo político.
